Pickle Elementary School

""

Pickle Elementary School and the St. John Community Center offer education and community services to Northeast Austin neighborhoods. The unique joint venture between Austin ISD and the city of Austin creates a shared space housing our school, as well as a community clinic, a recreation center, and public library. Pickle - named for U.S. Rep. James Jarrell Pickle - fosters a culture of cooperation, which promotes children's intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. Pickle creates a challenging and nurturing environment for all students to develop their talents and skills. Our tightly-knit school community offers a world of educational opportunities - from arts and athletics to reading and robotics - to ensure all children reach their fullest potential. Pickle is part of the Northeast Early College High School family of schools, which offers students the opportunity to earn college credit and graduate with an associate degree.
