CAT Information
Campus Architectural Teams, or CATs, are established for each major construction and modernization project to ensure that design and construction decisions fulfill the objective of providing a modernized learning environment that supports students within the framework of the project schedule and budget.
Teams typically meet bi-weekly to monthly for the first six to twelve months of the project, and then less frequently once the school is under construction. Meetings will typically last 90-120 minutes and will be conducted in-person or virtual, depending on the topic and meeting activity. Teams generally include 10-15 members from the school community including:
- School Principal
- School Instructional Staff
- School Support Staff
- Students (for middle and high school projects)
- Parents (including one representative from the Campus Advisory Council)
- Community Members
Also supporting the team are:
- Project Design Team
- Project Contractor
- Implementation and Communications Team
- Project Manager
- Communications Consultant
- Other AISD Departments and Public Entities
